1. Summary This Product Bulletin announces the availability of the 2Gbps-to-4Gbps
Technology Data Migration Service.
This service is designed to homogeneously (i.e. NetApp to NetApp)
migrate data on to newly deployed 4Gbps storage system shelves/loops/disk
drives from 2Gbps hardware. This is a
fixed-price service based upon data migrated to 4Gbps shelves (with 4Gbps
controllers, loops, and disk drives) from 2Gbps shelves (can be >1). NetApp Professional Services will assess, plan, design, implement, test,
and complete your entire 2Gbps-to-4Gbps Data Migration project. Our
experienced Professional Services staff has helped thousands of customers
across the globe successfully migrate data. 2. What’s New What’s new about this
service? Easy to Attach, Efficient to
Order and Effectively Delivered. This
new professional service is designed to easily quote and attach a data
migration service to any customer purchase of new 4Gbps hardware from NetApp. It does not require any interaction with
Professional Services Engagement Managers to scope the effort (no SOW),
as long as there are not more than 20 shelves of data being migrated, and the
migration is between 2Gbps and 4Gbps NetApp-only hardware. Simply Quote, Buy, Migrate. 3. Sales, Partner, and

service pricing is based upon the number of new 4Gbps shelves which data will
be migrated to. That is to say, that
if a customer purchases new 4Gbps shelves (with 4Gbps loops, controllers, and
disk drives), their data will be migrated to those new shelves for a low per
shelf price. The price is less than
the industry leader charges and provides for a simple quote/attach/migrate
strategy to get new 4Gbps hardware up and running with your customer’s data.

available to quote in the June 2007 release of the Quote Tool. Products need to be validated against the NetApp
